Summer Internship
Internship Procedures
INTERNSHIP PROCESS STEPS

  1. The student will apply to the workplace where the internship will take place by filling out the Internship Application Form. Since the form is e-signed, there is no need for a wet signature. After the Internship Application Form is approved with signature and stamp/seal by the authorized person at the workplace where the internship will take place, it will be delivered in 3 copies to the relevant program manager at the latest 15 days before the start date of the internship. Internship Application Forms that are not delivered to the program manager at least 15 days before the internship start date will not be processed.
  2. It is the student's responsibility to fill in and sign the boxes in the "General Health Insurance Declaration and Commitment" section of the Internship Application Form completely and accurately. The student's statement will be taken as basis. The student is responsible for any troubles and grievances that may arise as a result of the declaration given.
  3. Students cannot start their internship without the approval of the program manager and before the insurance procedures are completed. Students whose applications are not approved by the program officer and sent to the Directorate are not logged into the Social Security Institution system.
  4. The student must check the "SGK Employment Declaration" via E-Government before the internship start date.
  5. The student whose internship place has been approved cannot make a change in the internship place without informing the program manager in writing in the form of a petition and without an excuse acceptable to the Internship Commission. Since the previous internship application of the student whose request for a change in internship location is accepted will not be taken into consideration, he/she must fill out the Internship Application Form again and comply with the conditions stated above.
  6. The internship files of the students who have completed their internship will be examined by the program manager, and the students deemed necessary may be taken to the interview or application.
  7. 100% attendance for summer internship is mandatory. The student must notify and submit an official document stating that he cannot continue his internship due to illness or other acceptable reasons, provided that it does not exceed 50% of the internship period, to the program manager before the excuse period ends. Since officially documented excuses submitted after the excuse period has expired will not be accepted, the student will be responsible for any grievances that may arise. Absences that are not documented with an official document are not considered as excuses. In case of excuses that meet the conditions, the student's internship will be extended for the specified period and will be recorded in the SSI e-declaration system.
  8. It is recommended that the student personally deliver the Compulsory Summer Internship Documents/Files to the relevant program officer. If sent by courier, the Name and Surname of the Instructor in charge of the program and the student's program must be written in the cargo recipient section. The student is entirely responsible for any grievances such as delays, losses, etc. that may arise due to various reasons.
  9. The delivery address for Compulsory Summer Internship Files is stated below. (The name and surname of the Instructor responsible for the program and the student's program will be written in the recipient section.) Yenimahalle Mah. Prof. Metin Sözen Cad. INTERNSHIP EXEMPTION

ARTICLE 19 (1) Students of the Vocational School of Health Services may request exemption on the dates determined by the relevant Deanship/Directorate, with a service record showing that they have worked in a job related to their field and registered with the SSI for at least six months. In this case, the student applies to the relevant Vocational School Directorate with the Internship Exemption Form and SSI service statement document. The students' situations are evaluated and decided by the Vocational School Internship Commission. The previous internships of the student who registered through horizontal transfer, which were accepted in the department where he/she studied before, are evaluated by the internship commission, if documented, and their acceptance is at the discretion of the internship commission.
